The Salad Bar is a responsive food website designed to showcase healthy meal options and allow customers to place direct orders. While the design does not include a cart or product detail page, the flow supports simple ordering through the product listings.

Challenge
The Salad Bar is London’s first checklist-style salad restaurant offering fresh, customizable meals throughout the day. The brand needed a complete identity setup — from messaging and tone to website content and user experience — that captured their unique concept of day-to-night dining, live dressing ("sauceologists"), and globally inspired ingredients. Time constraints and a missing brand foundation made it necessary to build everything from scratch.
Results
A cohesive brand identity was developed, backed by a strong content and UX structure. All website copy, brand values, and layout plans were tailored to reflect The Salad Bar's vibrant, premium, and fresh tone. The content structure is now ready for full UI implementation, and early feedback highlighted the clarity of brand voice, originality, and user-friendly content flow.

Process
Research & Analysis: Studied salad-based businesses, especially unique formats like checklist-ordering systems. Analyzed customer expectations for healthy dining, breakfast options, and fast-casual restaurants in London. Looked into tone, brand expression, and how to stand out in a competitive market.
Information Architecture: Outlined key website pages: Homepage, About, Menu, Visit Us, Contact, Newsletter Signup, and optional Blog. Each page was structured with clear, purposeful content that reflects user behavior and brand needs — with calls to action that guide users through the site naturally.
Wireframing & Prototyping: Due to time limits, wireframes are pending completion. However, the written content was created with layout direction in mind, which will serve as a clear foundation for future visual mockups and interaction flow
Usability Testing: Testing will focus on content clarity, navigation structure, and emotional tone — especially how users respond to the concept of day-to-night mood transitions and live customization experiences
Visual Design & Style Guide: A modern and clean visual approach is being developed, combining natural tones (greens, whites, wood textures) with citrusy accent colors to reflect the brand’s fresh and vibrant personality. The style guide will include logo direction, typography, color palette, and imagery concepts.
“ I helped define the voice and character of The Salad Bar from the ground up — clarifying its unique value, crafting all written communication, and organizing the brand into a usable structure for future designers and developers. This foundation will guide the visual execution, ensuring consistency and alignment with the brand’s mission. ”
Conclusion
This project laid the strategic groundwork for a standout salad brand blending premium food culture with personalized experiences and a visually engaging digital presence. The completed copy and architecture now provide a clear path for the next phase: full design and digital rollout. This case has sharpened my skill in brand storytelling, UX structure, and responsive digital planning.
